Moo
You may be thinking to yourself, "What's the big deal about this majestic, furry, beast?"
Well, they're kind of a big deal... or at least they were.
Since time immemorial, the bison and Native Americans lived side by side on the Great Plains of North America. While Native Americans killed and subsisted on the bison, there was no small amount of respect for their furry kin, as it was an invaluable source for things such as food, tools, clothing, housing, fuel, and religious relics. In reverence, Native peoples' thanked the bison for their continued survival and were sure to use every part of the bison, wasting nothing.
